About vignette roads in Slovenia

Slovenia vignette roads are expressways and motorways included in the Slovenian toll system. According to Slovenia vignette obligation, all motor vehicles and passenger cars with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 t must have a digital vignette electronically linked to their plate registration number.

A Slovenian e-vignette can be bought online, at authorized dealers, and at petrol stations. Note that the Karavanke tunnel between Austria and Slovenia is not included in the Slovenia vignette system: drivers must cover special fees at the Hrušica toll station.

Slovenia Vignette Roads

When to buy a vignette before entering Slovenian toll roads?

A Slovenian vignette can be ordered in advance. A toll payer can select the validity start date to 30 days from the date of obtaining a vignette for Slovenia. However, it is essential that your vignette is already valid at the moment you enter a Slovenian toll road.

There are several options of Slovenia electronic vignette according to its validity period: an annual e-vignette, a semi-annual e-vignette, a monthly e-vignette, and a weekly e-vignette.

The validity period of a Slovenia e-vignette cannot be extended. If your digital vignette expires, you have to buy a new one with a new validity start date.
